These are photos from an annual bicycle ride across the great state of Oklahoma. We start somewhere in the south and head north to Kansas.

  • There are many pics of this shirt but deserving of another posting. This lady was so thrilled with the event. Everyone I talked to in Frederick felt the same.

  • Freewheel director, Joy is ready to ride on day 1. In the background is the truck that carries our gear to each town. The truck and driver are donated by Central Tech Truck Driving School in Drumright, OK.

  • Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. My Dad was in the CCC. He told me it was the Cool Cats Corps.

  • A serious touring bike, belongs to Jennifer Wurl . She is an amazing photographer and rides from Houston to Freewheel.

  • After a fine feed in Starvin Marvin's Sharon, Jim and I prepared for the rain.

  • Day 4 rest stop in Hitchcock. Gas pumps from the 60's(?). The white unit on the left is a credit card reader connected to the old pumps. The green one on the right is a diesel pump.

  • Count to 20 and try again!

  • Joy out for a spin.

  • Day 6 food stop in Pawnee. A very popular spot.

  • Day 7, passing through Blackwell someone said "Want some coffee?" It wasn't some stuff from a can... fresh ground gourmet . Had a wonderful visit with these great folks.
